The Minister of Public Works, Mr Emmanuel NGANOU DJOUMESSI, will carry out from Monday, July 3 to Wednesday, July 5, 2023, a working visit to the North-west and West regions, in order to assess the level of progress of road projects.
During his stay in the North-west region, the Minister of Public Works will examine the completion schedule of the reconstruction works of the Babadjou-Bamenda road and the rehabilitation works in the completion phase of the Bamenda-Bambui road (9.6 km) serving the University of Bamenda. In the Western region, it will be more a question of finding solutions to the slowness in the execution of the asphalting works on the Foumban-Koupa-Matapit road (54 km).
During the working session that he will lead in Bamenda, the Minister of Public Works will present the state of the road network in the region, the current measures and the prospects for improvement. The consultation will bring together the project teams, administrative authorities, the mayors concerned, the local elected officials and the local driving forces.
