“All financing methods are important. We just have to implement them,” explained Ebernerez Kepombia, after his presentation during the “regional seminar and launching of a financing system for films and series for Central Africa”. This Cameroonian producer also specified regarding financing that “the most important thing is to know them. However, there is already the beginning of a solution to the financing of films and series in Central Africa. This is because the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) had already understood that “the problem with films in Central Africa is to be able to find local pre-financing before looking for money outside”, explains Enrico Chiesa, the representative of the International Organization of La Francophonie at this workshop. The OIF then “wished to bring together partners to be able to provide funds to the selected projects during Labs and workshops almost all located in Cameroon but also in Chad and Sao Tome” further indicated the representative of this organization.
A total of 25 projects will emerge thanks to the funding granted by the International Organization of La Francophonie, among other partners, Canal+, the French Institute of Cameroon (IFC) and the ACP organization. , while waiting for Cameroonian partners to join this initiative. Enrico Chiesa did not fail to launch “an appeal to investors, companies, patrons, banks, brands who might be interested in associating their images with those of these young creators,” he said. -he pleaded.
